This section also demonstrates and assists potential entrepreneurs to think creatively and to perform proper research about an idea.

LAUNCHING YOUR BUSINESSThis skills programme assists the potential business owner with methods of how to establish priorities and objectives, to formulate a detailed business plan, investigate the market environment, identify and mitigate business risks.
SKILLS PROGRAMME 3
FINANCIAL SKILLS FOR ENTREPRENEURSThis skills programme covers the fundamentals of financial principles. It answers questions such as what is a break-even point, how to calculate profit and VAT, how to analyse and interpret financial statements and how to adjust changes in costing. It further demonstrates the budgeting and cash flow processes.

SALES AND MARKETING FOR YOUR BUSINESSThis skills programme aim is for entrepreneurs to understand the market mechanisms in relation to a new venture, looking at the aspects of supply and demand and investigates methods about tendering processes to secure business and also how to negotiate solutions. The main focus of the programme is however, to develop and implement a marketing strategy for a new venture.

ASSET MANAGEMENT AND QUALITY CONTROLThis skills programme emphasises the importance of managing stock and fixed assets. It demonstrates techniques to develop administrative procedures such as creating business systems, updating administrative procedures and developing manuals and policies. It also covers aspects of how to develop, implement and monitor a quality policy for a new venture.
SKILLS PROGRAMME 6
MANAGE HUMAN RESOURCES IN YOUR BUSINESSThis skills programme focuses on how to identify human resources requirements, to design and implement systems to meet those requirements, legislation governing employment, policies and procedures applicable for a new venture and to identify and create opportunities for employees. The programme also discusses business ethics and focuses on monitoring performance management.

CREATE AN EFFECTIVE TEAMThis skills programme contains information about the desirable characteristics, function, purpose and role of a team in business and how to develop and increase effectiveness and efficiency of a team in the workplace. The programme also discusses delegation, empowerment, leadership actions and recognizing achievement.
